Australia’s Cyber Defence Challenge
With the introduction of Australia’s Cyber Security Strategy, the opening of the Australian Cyber Security Centre and the occurrence of a variety of Cyber Incidents in Australia, Defence Watch feels it is necessary to clarify what Australia is doing to address this evolving issue and how our specialized agencies are collaborating with industry.
As a consequence we have developed a program to bring together the major Government and Defence cyber specialist agencies to present at a Defence Watch Industry Briefing

Alastair MacGibbon provides national leadership and advocacy on cyber security policy and the implementation of the Government's Cyber Security Strategy.
Dr Colin Coleman, Acting Chief of the Cyber and Electronic Warfare Division, DST Group. - “New Technologies for Cyber Resilience”
Cyber and Electronic Warfare Division undertakes research and development focused on identifying, analysing and countering threats to Australia’s defence and national security through electronic means.
Mr Clive Lines - Deputy Director Australian Signals Directorate, /ACSC Coordinator – “Providing Australia’s Cyber Defence”
Australian Signal Directorate provides cyber security advice and assistance, mainly to Australian Government agencies. ASD also works closely with industry to develop and deploy secure cryptographic products.
